Gas masks are used as personal protective equipment to provide effective protection for the respiratory organs, eyes and facial skin of personnel. Face shields are an important part of gas masks, which are the parts that isolate a person's face from the toxic air outside. The gas mask consists of a mask, a trachea and a canister, and the mask can be used directly with the canister or with a trachea. Gas masks can be selected according to the protection requirements of various types of filter canisters, which are used in chemical industry, warehouse, scientific research, and various toxic and harmful operating environments.
Use environment
1. The filter canister is part of the self-priming filtering respiratory protection mask and cannot be used alone.
2. It is forbidden to use it when the oxygen concentration in the environment is lower than 18%.
3. According to the different concentrations of toxic and harmful gases in the operating environment, the poison filter tank can be selected.
4. When the nature of toxic and harmful gases in the working environment is clear, you can choose to use the poison filter tank, otherwise it is forbidden to use it.
5. The protective performance of the poison filter tank is specific, and it should be selected according to the nature of toxic and harmful gases in the environment, and cannot be used indiscriminately or mixed.
6. Storage: The filter tank is 5 years, and the warehouse should be dry and ventilated.
Anti-virus effect
Impregnated activated carbon achieves the purpose of anti-poison through the following three functions
(1) Physical adsorption. Adsorption refers to the thickening or condensation of fluid molecules on a solid surface. Physical adsorption occurs by the mutual attraction of the force between the adsorbate and the adsorbent molecule, the adsorbed molecule maintains the original chemical properties, the adsorption heat is low, no selectivity, and the adsorption and desorption speed is fast, for example, the activated carbon is the physical adsorption effect on sarin, mustard gas, chlorine and other toxic agent vapors.
(2) Chemical adsorption.
Chemisorption occurs when the adsorbate and the adsorbent molecules are attracted by a force similar to a chemical chain, and the adsorbate and the adsorbent form surface compounds with a high heat of adsorption, selective, and usually irreversible. Impregnated carbon improves its anti-poison ability against refractory agents by adding metal oxides. When impregnated carbon adsorbs phosgene, the moisture on the carbon can undergo hydrolysis reaction with it. Therefore, when the poison filter tank is damp, the protection ability of phosgene will be improved. Since chemical adsorption is a chemical change on the carbon, it cannot be regenerated by ordinary methods after the filter absorbs hydrogen cyanide and other toxic agents fail. However, when protected by physical adsorption, the filter can be regenerated after failure.
(3) Catalysis.
Catalysis refers to some toxic vapors that are difficult to be physically adsorbed and chemically adsorbed, and the catalytic reaction can be significantly improved by using catalysts, such as the hydrolysis reaction of copper and chromium oxides with cyanogen chloride and hydrogen arsenide that are difficult to adsorb. The catalytic reaction that occurs on impregnated carbon, mainly oxygen and water in the air, reacts with the toxic agent under the action of a catalyst. It should be noted that the catalyst only increases the speed of the chemical reaction in the reaction, and does not undergo chemical changes in itself, and will gradually be covered by the reaction products, and lose its catalytic effect.
