The Greek International Maritime Exhibition (Posidonia) is one of the largest exhibitions in the world's ship and maritime industry exhibitions, and is a weathervane for the world's shipbuilding industry. The exhibition is hosted by POSIDONIA Exhibition Company and was founded in 1969. It is held every two years and this is the 29th.
The 2018 Greek Maritime Exhibition attracted 2,009 exhibitors from 92 countries and regions, of which 22 countries participated in the form of exhibition groups. The total number of participants was 39,485, including 23,527 professional visitors.
The exhibition focused on displaying the new achievements in the world's shipbuilding, ship repair, marine equipment manufacturing, shipping and management in recent years, covering multiple fields such as machinery, electronics, communications, computers and software, including ship agency, insurance, ship protection and insurance association, finance, port, ship classification, marine surveying, ship registration, ship supply, high-tech equipment, legal services, technical support and publishing companies and other ship-related industries. The various types of ship models with novel styles and advanced technology largely represent the development level and research direction of the world's shipbuilding industry.
In the absence of most Chinese companies, 1,964 companies from 88 countries still participated in the last 2022 Greek Maritime Exhibition, of which 24 countries participated in the exhibition in the form of exhibition groups. The number of participants reached 40,950, setting a historical high, which shows the appeal and importance of the exhibition among the industry. The Greek Maritime Exhibition has created an excellent communication and trade platform for exhibitors with its low prices, rich surrounding resources and broad market among similar exhibitions.
